I was honored to be invited to photograph this San Juan Island elopement. S and R already have two lovely children together, but have been planning their intimate celebration for awhile now. They met in college, when he was immediately drawn to her and speechless in her presence. I was invited into their shared home to document Sam preparing for the day. Samantha is one of those people who present with so much elegance even in the simplest and chaotic of moments. We spent a few quite moments together while she prepared to meet R at Olympic Lights Bnb for their extremely intimate ceremony with their three closest friends. Friday Harbor classic cab arrived to escort Sam to the south side of the islands, where she left the cab and walked straight down the aisle to meet R for their vows. After the vows, R was very excited to meet the farm chickens, including them in the wedding portraits. The owner of Olympic Lights, Christian, was kind enough to give the group a cartoon of eggs as a gift while they made their champagne toasts. After that, it was time for signing and a few moments all together before everyone began to head to Duck Soup Inn for their dinner. While there, we took several portraits of S&R enjoying the final moments of light together. It was incredible day, filled with joy, peace, and love. Thank you for inviting me to document this!
