While road tripping down the Oregon Coast I was able to connect with this fantastic couple for a photo session at one of their favorite beaches near Cannon Beach. I had met them earlier that year at a wedding on San Juan Island, and was stoked for them to show me this beautiful spot along the Oregon Coast. The whole coast is spectacular, and despite this area being more accessible to the Portland crowds…getting there early in the morning helped us beat the crowds that would later find us towards the end of the shoot.
These two asked if their pups could come along for this lifestyle adventure session… to which of course I said hell yes to. I’m always a fan of family shoots that include the fur children. The adventure session included exploring the beach tide lines, and discovering a small waterfall around the corner where the early morning light came pouring onto. It was an absolutely beautiful morning, and a great start to the rest of our road trip down the Oregon Coastline. The whole coast line has such a variety of landscapes, ranging from a wild almost Icelandic look to the sandy, yet still turmultuos lounging beaches.
Also, I absolutely love documenting people with their animal family as well. It’s important to have portraits with them, especially documented in their element with their personalities showing- just like human children!
