When Covid forced T&D to reschedule their Roche Harbor wedding, instead of looking at it as a set back- it became an opportunity to celebrate in a more intimate and personal way. Both are extremely close to their families and wanted to include them, especially since they had been quarantining as family units together. With a family cabin near Leavenworth, we started looking into elopement options for them that included their families.
It was still important for them to honor their Catholic heritage and be married legally by a priest. We opted for a two day celebration, first day with an intimate spiritual and legal ceremony with family, followed by a sunrise hike into the beautiful Enchantments for D&T to say their personal vows at the base of Aasgard Pass.
While it wouldn’t have been possible previously to showcase T&D’s love for the mountains, due to the reschedule, T & D were able to plan a hike into the mountains to say their personal vows beside a beautiful alpine lake.
Day one was all about celebrating with their family. D got ready in a cabin with her sister, mother, and very soon to be sister and mother in law. Once she was ready, we headed towards the family cabin where T and D had their first look in the beautiful alpine forest surrounding Leavenworth, with a small river winding through the trees near them.
The ceremony was filled with joy, love, and their pup got to be a part of the ceremony as well!
