January 1st, 2015.
We spent the afternoon, exploring the island that has shaped parts of our identity. It was a beautiful day, with golden light streaming over the water until the sun slipped away behind the Olympic Mountains. We walked the entirety of South Beach while the sun set. Then, we clamored up the sandy hills at Cattle Point, almost as if climbing to the moon.
What a wonderful, refreshing beginning to the New Year.
